Installation instructions for a B-series into a

84-87 Civic/CRX, or 86-89 Integra

 

The following is a quick overview if the installation procedure for installing a B-series motor into the 84-87 Civic and CRX (AFB1) and the 86-89 Integra(AVB1) This kit works for the B16A/B, B17A, B18A/B/C, and B20B/Z. The B18C intake manifold will interfere with the firewall,  so modifications will need to be made.  This kit includes:

1. Bolt the rh bracket to the frame rail to the car as shown in figure 1. Use the supplied hardware for the 4 small bolt holes. For the larger bolt hole under the frame rail use the factory mount hardware.

 

2. Bolt the rear mount to the rear engine x-member using the hardware provided. Save the two bolts that held on the stock rear mount. You will need those for the new left-hand engine bracket.

3. Bolt the billet bracket the the engine as shown in figure 3. Use the one bolt provided and the two bolts that originally held on the rear engine mount.

4. Bolt the transmission mount to the transmission as shown in figure 4 with the hardware shown.

5. Before bolting the engine in the the engine bay you will need to put a dent in the left-hand frame rail for alternator pulley clearance.

6. Bolt the engine in the car. The next three photos show how they line up. For the rear engine bracket, make sure you have Honda part number 50827-S04-N10. This bracket comes from a 99-00 Civic Si.

You MUST use an SK7 Manual Transmission Intermediate Shaft (90-93 Integra Style) with the Hasport Axles.
