Transmission preparation

Place the template on the clutch release arm with the bottom edge aligned with the bottom edge of the release arm and the circular part butted against the shaft. Take a center punch and punch the cross in the center to mark the release arm. Drill a 5/16ths hole completely through both sides of the release arm.

Bolt the Hasport push rod on to the release arm as shown. There are four washers that will be used with the bolt to install the push rod. The two thin washers are used on either side of the release arm. The two thicker washers, will be used on each side of the rod end with the thinner washer on the transmission side of the rod end.

Bolt the new slave cylinder bracket to the transmission as shown in figure 2 using the long 8 mm bolts provided.

Next bolt the stock slave cylinder to the new bracket while inserting the pushrod end into the cylinder. You can use the stock rubber boot to keep dust out of the slave cylinder. Be careful as you insert the rod end, clutch fluid will be forced out of the other end.

Next attach the new hose bracket where the old cable bracket was, as shown in Figure 4. Use the hardware that held the old bracket, the extra hole will be used for the ground strap after installing the transmission.

Reinstall the hard hydraulic line from the slave cylinder to the new hose bracket. The line needs to be flipped from its original position to fit properly. Next attach the soft hydraulic line, you will have to stretch the hard line slightly to attach the soft line. This will help the hard line to clear the release arm.

Now install the transmission using the Hasport conversion transmission mount. Then attach the soft hydraulic line and bleed the system.  When bleeding the clutch, bleed the line from the fluid input line at the slave cylinder, not from the factory bleeder.  Next attach the ground cable using the bolt and lock nut provided.
