This list of parts includes both necessary and optional parts needed when swapping the following B-series motors into the 85-87 Si. This list was compiled from experience of doing these swaps. The ECU recommendation is based on the easiest way to run the engines effectively with the minimum amount of modification to the electrical system. Other recommendations include parts that are easier to service while the engine is out of the car. Let your wallet be your guide here.

If you are installing a B17A engine, it is recommended that you do a conversion to the 1st generation B16A electrical part to ease the install. If you wish to use the 92-93 GSR ECU your on your own.

Not all of these parts are essential for the Swap. It is up to the individual to determine whether or not they would like to replace some of these parts to save future repairs. Everything from the Clutch down is optional. Everything listed before that are necessary.
